About Me
I go by Renegade, inspired by the song Renegade by Styx. While creating this blog, the lyrics, “Oh, Mama, I’m in fear for my life from the long arm of the law. Hangman is coming down from the gallows and I don’t have very long,” resonated deeply with me. Right now, it feels like we’re running out of time before Trump, Musk, and their cronies come after people like us—those who resist corruption and fight for truth. Given Trump’s admiration for Putin, the stakes couldn’t be higher.
My real name is Amber. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry from Syracuse University with a minor in business and a Master’s in Material Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. While at UPenn, I wasn’t able to participate in Occupy Wall Street directly, but I was involved in Philadelphia’s version of the movement, marching against greed and corruption. I also protested during Trump’s first presidency. My experience in resistance runs deep, and I bring that same energy to this blog.
I’m not an economist or a political scientist, but as a researcher and scientist, I know what makes a source credible. Every article I publish is backed by extensive research, and I always provide sources to ensure accuracy.
About the Blog
Big Ads Lie—short for Big Advertisements Lie (and a play on big ass lies)—is a platform dedicated to exposing corporate and Republican corruption.
Here, I call out:
- Corporate greed and corruption
- Republican politicians’ lies and incompetence (especially Trump’s disastrous policies)
- Unethical business practices
- Predatory advertising and deceptive marketing tactics
But this blog isn’t just about tearing down the corrupt; it’s also about helping people make informed decisions. I provide:
- Ethical business recommendations – where to shop and which services to use
- Money-saving tips – how to survive the economic fallout of Trump’s failures
- Consumer advice – the best alternatives to overpriced or unethical products
The goal? To empower you with knowledge. The more informed we are, the harder it is for corporations and corrupt politicians to exploit us.
Together, we will resist.
